2)      When you are walking and it rains suddenly

3)      When you get to eat full bar of a chocolate 

4)      When you are driving and your favorite song is played on radio

5)      When you are cleaning your house and you find money in some old purse

6)      When you get extra 5 min sleep after the alarm rings

7)      When you wear warm clothes immediately after ironing

8)      When you get a cup of hot coffee in bed

9)      When you come home tired and your food is already cooked

10)   When you get into your daughter’s dress easily

11)   When you get things cheap after bargain

My father-An Unsung Hero This story is about my father  “Shyamsundar Pandit Deshpande”  who was an ordinary man with extraordinary deeds. I don’t know how many of my friends would co-relate with this story but what I felt while writing my father’s story was something unexplainable. Going down memory lane, recalling old days spent with my father gave a true satisfaction.  A few days back I spoke to my mother over the phone. The date was on 27th Jan and like every year, we reminisced about my father’s last day in our house. It happened to be the day when he had dinner from my mother’s hands for the last time. On the 28th I got a call from my mother; he was kept on a ventilator. For the next two days, he was critical and on 30th Jan he left us. His age was 76. Tribute to Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma will always be remembered amongst music lovers for his unparalleled perfection in playing the complex instrument, santoor. He was born on 13 January 1938 in Jammu and Kashmir, India in a musical family. His father was a famous vocalist and tabla player. Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma developed interest in music right from his childhood. He started learning santoor when he was thirteen and in 1955 he gave his first public performance in Mumbai. In 1956, he also composed background music for one scene in the film, Jhanak Jhanak Payal Baje. He collaborated with flutist Hariprasad Chaurasia and composed music for several hit films under the collaborative name Shiv Hari. I have listed some of the beautiful songs composed by Shiv Hari.
